What if you actually woke up this morning, and couldn't wait to go to work?
What if you were actually excited about performing your job assignments for today?
What if your thoughts about your team members were honestly positive?
If you find that these series of questions evoke feelings of euphoria and excitement, then...two fists bumps and a high five, because you are in the low percentage of those who have actually decided to like where they work, are excited about what they do, and can pretty much get along with the people with whom they work! Now this is just a generalization. But on the flip side of the coin, the vast majority of the workforce are stressed out about their workplace, are overtaxed in their job performance, and really can't stand one or more of the people with whom they work (including the Boss)!
My suggestion is very simple! Everything that we do originates in the mind first, then carried out in action. If you decide today that you were going to change your "attitude" about where you work, then you have just made a major step in changing how your job environment will influence you.
In other words, You can either impact or be impacted! You may not be able to change everything about your workplace, but you can change how you respond to what takes place there.
Make a decision today! You may start with what I call, positive self-talk. Try saying something like this..."Today is a going to be a great day! I am important, and what I do is important and necessary to the success of this company! Anything that stands in the way of having total success today, I will deliberately disregard, and will intentionally create my own personal space of peace!"
I hope this helps! Make this your best day ever!
